Veteran's Day

Now that President Obama has secured another four years in office, putting an end to another long-winded election, I sincerely hope the Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill start working together. Initial signs are positive with the “fiscal cliff” looming, but I suspect there is more fighting to come over the health care law, foreign policy, and social issues.

Why is it so difficult for politicians to vote their convictions and maintain their civility? Since I’ve been old enough to vote, I’ve never supported war, yet I respect the men and women who serve and support our military. Thank you, veterans, for defending our freedoms. And to those of you with family members serving overseas, may they come home safe and soon.
