I’m looking forward to great event this week. On Wednesday night Milestone Marketing Associates will exhibit at East Meets West, an annual expo that brings together the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance, the Gulf Coast Latin Chamber of Commerce, and the Longboat Key, Lido Key, St. Armands Key Chamber of Commerce.
Unlike the Techfast Breakfast series which had a half-a-dozen sponsors and 50+ attendees at each event, East Meets West will have 45 exhibitors and as many as 600 attendees. That means this event represents another first for Milestone, our first tradeshow.
Those of you who know me from the old Quest days know that I’m a big fan of tradeshows. As is Victoria Gillum, our media specialist, who will also staff our booth. Together we shall represent Milestone well. Thanks again, Vicki!
Speaking of events, last week’s YPG meeting was better than I expected, I thoroughly enjoyed Curtis Zimmerman’s presentation at AAF, and all three social media speakers at the T.I.P.S. session did a great job.
SAVE THE DATE – Dr. Larry Thompson, President of Ringling College of Art and Design, is speaking at the next STF Techbyte Luncheon on Tuesday, September 21st.
For those of you who were wondering, my wife eventually made it home last Sunday after a particularly crappy Delta travel experience. Now that school started it finally feels like the Anderson family is getting back to normal.
Until next week,

As I write this week’s update the girls and I are on day nine without Mom. While it’s been a difficult week without the comfort of our normal routine, I am happy to report that all are well.
Mia struggled with her virus, but her fever broke after a few days. Catherine rolled with the punches and was a huge help. I nearly lost it a few times, but the house is clean, the kids are fed, and we’re ready for school to begin.
Ironically the week may have been harder for Dana. She just called in tears to say her flight was delayed. After a week of sleepless nights helping with her sister’s newborn, all she wants to do is come home.
Despite the challenging home front, we did manage to have a productive work week. Not only did we deposit some big checks from multiple paid invoices, but we also completed some more work, made some new contacts, and received some promising new leads. Not too shabby for the last week of summer with the wife out of town, a sick toddler, and our day care closed for two days.
Three interesting events on tap for this week:
After nearly a year of avoiding the Sarasota Chamber’s Young Professionals Group because I’ve heard more bad than good, I am finally attending a YPG event at Michael’s On East on Monday. I’ll let you know how it goes…
On Wednesday night I’m going to an Ad Fed event that I plugged last week.
And Thursday morning I’ll be in the Selby Auditorium at USF attending the first of three Manatee Chamber events called T.I.P.S. Tech In Plain Speak.
Until next week,
