Despite being on vacation I wanted to update those faithful readers who are either working or hunkering down for the storm. Here on Lake George it doesn't appear we will suffer any foul weather. In fact it's going to be quite lovely judging from our view on Sunday morning.

For the next week our days will be filled with fun on the water; swimming, boating, and fishing. In the evenings we'll be making memories for a lifetime, because this is an extra-special trip.
We have a total of nine people staying in a beautiful old cottage right on the water. Dana and I are here with our daughters, Catherine and Mia. Dana's twin sister, Linda, is here from New Jersey with her husband, Bey, and their two-year-old son, Jack. And Dana's older sister, Elisabeth, is also here from Sarasota with her husband, Paddy.
This isn't the first time we've all been on vacation together, but there is something unique about spending a week on Lake George in the summer. Nestled in the Adirondack Mountains, this area has been the inspiration for many writers and artists over the years. It's truly a magical place, and we're fortunate to spend this time together.
Until next week,

Milestone Marketing Associates, Inc.
Milestone Marketing Associates is fast-approaching another major milestone. October 1st marks our third anniversary – three years since we incorporated the business. During that time we accomplished many goals; we delivered services for nearly 50 clients, we hired 2 employees to support our growth, and we established a reputation for doing good work, but most importantly we survived.
As we look ahead to prepare for the next three years I am encouraged by the fact that we’re getting better at what we do every day and the fact that our prospects for growth have never looked better. Between the current and potential work we have with our existing clients and the additional prospects we have in the pipeline we could find ourselves in a position to hire another employee before the end of the year.
That’s really the best part about this business: the fact that Milestone has a well-rounded team of marketing professionals. From day one the plan was to build a business that can support all of our freelance associates. We never thought it would happen overnight, and it hasn’t. It’s taken three years to get this far, and we still have a long way to go.
On our way there I’m reminded to thank the people who make it happen. First and foremost our clients; without their faith in our ability we would not be in business. Second our associates; without their effort we would not be able to deliver our services. Last but not least my wife; without her support I would not be able to invest so much time and money into this business.
Next week my wife and I are taking a much-needed family vacation. Yes, the timing is a bit off with school starting this week, but that’s how it worked out this summer. We’re spending a week on Lake George in upstate New York. I can wait to unplug and recharge my batteries. Our three-year anniversary is right around the corner as we have work to do.
Until next week,
