Too Much Fun
From The Book of Matthew
I’m off to a late start this week. I could blame it on school starting today, but actually I was just exhausted yesterday after getting home from Ocala. The 4AAF Summer Conference was fun, maybe too much fun.
So instead of working on Sunday afternoon like I usually do every week, in part to plan my week and specifically to write this weekly update, I took a nap. My plan was to knock out this week’s update after I dropped the kids off at school.
After a good night’s sleep – something that didn’t happen this weekend – I dropped the kids off at school, came home, and went straight to work. It wasn’t until 10:30am when I realized that I forgot to update my blog.
We have another busy week lined up, but except for my weekly Kiwanis meeting, none of my appointments are with associations. And that’s good because we have plenty of work to do.
In case you’re interested in attending our Kiwanis meeting we meet from 11:45am to 1pm at Mattison’s 41. This week’s speaker is Charles Sobczak, Author of "The Living Gulf Coast." Charlie will be discussing his new book about birds, mammals and reptiles of the area.
And don’t forget to mark next Thursday, September 1 on your calendar for AAF Suncoast’s monthly social gathering. We’ll have free food and drinks at The Hub in downtown’s Rosemary District. This event is free for all members and prospective members. Come out and have some fun!
Until next week,
