Matthew Anderson Elected President of Suncoast Technology Forum

SARASOTA, Florida (January 24, 2012) – Sarasota entrepreneur Matthew Anderson begins his term as the 2012 president of the Suncoast Technology Forum (STF) this month, after a successful year serving as the group’s vice-president in 2011.
“I am honored to serve the local business community as president of STF this year,” says Anderson. “The local business environment has improved dramatically in just one short year, and I believe that the Suncoast’s technology sector will be a big part of our economic growth in 2012. We plan to work hard to continue the momentum that is already underway.”
To hear Anderson tell it, events like the STF’s first annual Technology Conference and Expo will go a long way toward doing exactly that. The conference will feature the latest technology-related innovations that have sprung from the research and development efforts of companies all along the Suncoast, including consumer devices, interactive technologies, business IT, green tech, and much more. There will also be panel discussions and technology seminars on topics of interest to STF members, Anderson adds.
Anderson’s company, Milestone Marketing Associates, is a young, rapidly growing full-service marketing firm based in Sarasota and focusing on the information technology sector. Before founding Milestone in 2009, Anderson was the director of marketing at Quest Solutions, Inc., a Sarasota company that developed takeoff and estimating software for the construction market.
STF’s mission is to accelerate the technology ecosystem in Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties. STF works closely with the Tampa Bay Technology Forum (TBTF) in order to give local companies better access to technology-related events in the Tampa market. STF’s alliance with TBTF gives members access to more than 100 events and puts them in direct contact with more than 450 other companies that are also forum members.
